Not sure if you have noticed it already, but UKF recently published a fresh Bass House album with 2 CDs full of amazing Bass House tracks. UKF Bass House features some of the best tracks from 2015 and 2016 on this compilation album. We can safely say this is huge news for all the lovers of the Bass House genre.
This compilation is the 20th album from UKF and it’s surely something special. For the first time ever, UKF introduces Bass House to their fans on a CD. For the people who are still following UKF since the Dubstep and Drum and Bass days, this album is worth checking out. It features some of the biggest names in the Bass House scene such as Tchami, Chris Lorenzo, Chocolate Puma, Valentino Khan, and Sonny Banks. This last name (Sonny Banks) is the new side project by Dubstep legend xKore who has been featured on UKF quite a bit.
UKF Bass House Album
Bass House is currently on the rise through the electronic music scene. It’s an energetic genre which bass heads will love, although the genre has a somewhat bad reputation already. Many of the so-called Bass House producers are using overused samples and sounds which represent this genre in a very bad way since it “sounds all the same”. This is some feedback a lot of people from the EDM scene are giving to this upcoming genre.
As a bass house lover myself, I have to admit this is true – very true indeed. In my opinion, the genre lacks in creativity and a lot of producers are switching to the genre just to get famous really quickly. They all want to sound like Jauz, just like everyone was copying Oliver Heldens in the beginning of Future House. However, I have faith that this genre will prove this reputation wrong by having some super creative minds making music for this genre. You can easily combine Future House, UK Bass, and Garage with Bass House. There are so much elements that can spice up that typical Bass sound.
That’s also what the guys over at UKF tried to show with their compilation album. It covers a big diversity in House tracks that have something unique. You might not like all the songs on the album, but you will definitely enjoy most of them!
