Spinnin’ Records seem to pick up some really young and talented people lately. After the signing of future house heavyweight Mike Wiliams it’s now up to our good friend Jordi Rivera. The 19-year-old kid from Heemskerk (The Netherlands) is joining the future house hypetrain Spinnin’ is creating to show the world their dominance in future house music.
“I was 11 years old when I first started making music” – mentioned Jordi in an interview with Future’s Finest. Most of the producers start off pretty early, but 11 is crazy to me. At an age of 11 I was climbing trees and finding ways to pick on my little brother. No Fruity loops for me at that age.
Jordi’s biggest heroes are Vato Gonzalez and Don Diablo. Two Dutch DJ/producers that are doing big things for the dance scene right now. You can clearly hear their influences in Jordi’s songs, although he still keeps his own sound. Jordi’s sound can be defined by the ‘swing’ he puts in every track, something different we can really appreciate amongst the drought in creativity we notice each and every day.
Jordi Rivera’s past productions
Looking back at the past year Jordi made 2 huge tracks called Circles and Cereal Killer. Both tracks gained a lot of traffic on both Soundcloud and Youtube. After hundreds and thousands of plays Rivera quickly got himself noticed by one of the biggest record labels in the dance scene.
Although Jordi hasn’t really confirmed new productions yet, we suspect to see a lot of great stuff for the future. The kid must have something up his sleeve and we are really curious what. Unfortunately we probably have to test our patience and wait till the track comes out.
