Mike Williams is back with yet another track! After his banger called ‘Sweet and Sour’ it’s now time for a collab with none other than Justin Mylo. Justin is, as you might know, not your average Soundcloud producer in the music industry. The guy came out of nowhere when himself, Martin Garrix and Mesto surprised everyone by releasing their track Bouncybob. With Mike Williams he now tries to grow his success even more by releasing the track ‘Groovy George’ on the 16th of May at Musical Freedom.
When you first listen to the preview you immediately hear both guys their influences on the track. Justin and Mike use such authentic sounds in their music that it is cool to see these sounds combined in a new project. The track was first teased to the world in the radio show Hardwell on air #263 and gained a lot of love by many house fans.
In my opinion the track is mixed and mastered very well. The drop is a real crowd-pleaser for the upcoming festivals and I can imagine a lot of people jumping to it. However, there is one thing I don’t like about the track. ‘Groovy George’ looks in all aspects like a complete copy of his forerunner Bouncybob. I am aware this was probably an intentional move by the duo, but I hoped for something more original.
Mike Williams’ upcoming releases
No worries though, the fast rising superstar from Hilversum seems to be teasing us with a lot of unreleased tracks lately. If you’re a bit disappointed by this preview like I am, there is still a lot to look out for. Leaks on Youtube and Soundcloud make us believe that Mike Williams has a lot left in his locker. You will be amazed by the ID’s you will find if you do a little research. One thing is certain, we are very excited to hear more from this guy. Mike really is something different and a huge prospect for the upcoming year. You can mark my words, 2016 is going to be Mike’s year!
